How to Practice Self Compassion

The more I do this work, the more I realize how important it is for me to help clients practice self compassion. We, as a society, are very unkind to ourselves in our minds. On a weekly basis, I say to my clients, “You are being so hard on yourself.” When you do this, it impacts every area of your life. It impacts your ability to have patience. It impacts your ability to have compassion for your partner or your children. It impacts your ability to learn new skills or take in feedback from a boss.

In this video, I teach clients how to stop beating themselves up and start creating a mental environment where actual growth is possible. This is the number one skill needed for emotional intelligence.
